The overall Grand Avenue Project will transform the civic and cultural districts of downtown Los Angeles into a vibrant new regional center which will showcase entertainment venues, restaurants, and retail mixed with a hotel and up to 2,600 new housing units. These new uses will add to the notable features that already exist at the top of Bunker Hill, including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, the Music Center, the Colburn School of Performing Arts, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Eli Broad Contemporary Art Museum.
Parcel M will be the first built residential portion of the overall Grand Avenue Project. It is a 271-unit 19-story hi-rise residential tower over 4 levels of below-grade parking garage, consisting of predominantly one and two bedroom apartments. It will share a new public plaza with the adjacent Eli Broad Museum scheduled to open in 2014. The plaza level of the Parcel M project will include approximately 18,000 square feet of space consisting of restaurant, residential amenities, a terrace garden pool and spa, fitness club, media room, and technology center. A rooftop terrace and party room are located on the 20th level.
